Level I Vehicle Operations: “Advanced Driver”

Length: 1 Day
Breakout:  2 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of practical instruction

Focus areas:

– Vehicle ops fundamentals and mindset

– Vehicle set-up / pre-inspection / cabin configuration / seating / seat belts / air bags / understanding the capabilities and limitations of your vehicle

– Vehicle handling and characteristics: center of gravity /weight distribution and transfer / body roll / grip / stance / lift-off / acceleration / braking / ground clearance / over & under steer…

– Vehicle control fundamentals: line of sight / line selection / steering / braking / throttle control / backing / turning / collision avoidance / low and high speed handling / over & under steer recognition and avoidance / day & night considerations…

– Terrain fundamentals: surface type and condition / weather / hazards…


Level II Vehicle Operations: “Tactical Driver”

*Note: Advanced Driver is a prerequisite to this course.

Length: 2 Days
Breakout: 2/3 practical application – 1/3 academics

Focus Areas:

– PIT/Counter PIT

– Pursuit/Counter Pursuit

– Defeating Barricades and Road Blocks/Ramming

– Ambush recognition/avoidance/actions

– Driver down techniques

– Vehicle tampering avoidance/Counter techniques

– Weapons employment considerations


Level III Vehicle Ops: “Full Spectrum Vehicle Operator”

*Note: Tactical Driver is a prerequisite to this course. This course has restricted attendance requirements. Call for info.

Length: 3 Days
Breakout: Initial academic instruction with bulk of time spent on practical exercises

Focus Areas:

– Tactical considerations (vehicle prep/inspection team composition, seating, gear prep, navigation, comms, terminology)

– Vehicle based Small Unit Tactics (basic convoy procedures, formations, danger areas, immediate actions, vehicle down techniques, vehicle egress techniques/considerations, push/pull, and weapons employment considerations)

– Weapons employment (Live Fire) *contact us for details

– Jamming/Counter Jamming considerations

– IED/ambush recognition and avoidance considerations

– Vehicle take-down tactics (ground based vehicle interdiction)

– FMPs: Full mission profiles custom built to suite customer mission sets/requirements. Includes role players, moulage, simunitions/UTM/paintball, evaluators & video feedback

Tactical Vehicle Extrication (TVE) Specialist: Level 1

Length: 1 Day
Breakout: Half day of academics and half day of practical exercises 

Focus Area:

– How TVE relates to customer mission

– Introduction to the variety of tools of the trade

– Hazards associated with TVE

– Safety consideration

– Introduction to vehicle structural design

– Vehicle access points

– Gaining access, tool employment, hasty access, breaching techniques

– Practical exercises


Tactical Vehicle Extrication Specialist: Level 2

*Note:  Tactical Vehicle Extrication Specialist Level I is a prerequisite to this course.

Length: 2 Days
Breakout: 4 hours of academics and 12 hours of practical exercises

Focus Area:

– Small unit tactical considerations during extrication operations,

– Shoring

– Lift systems

– Ropes and systems

– Night operations considerations/lighting (overt & covert)

– Scene management

– Triage, staging, and scene control

– Passenger/patient handling

– Practical exercises


Tactical Vehicle Extrication Specialist: Level 3
